It's bad enough for Jews here in the States, but when I look at Europe and the UK, it seems like the closer we get to the 2030's, the closer we get to the 1930's.
There is more than a suggestion that many of the current attacks are a result of state-sponsored terrorism, namely the meddling of the IRGC. One of the reason the UK has been so reluctant to proscribe is because then they would have to admit the truth, namely that the Islamic Republic has declared war on Britain and Britain ignored the declaration, putting its citizens in danger.
"They will not vote Tory in Sunderland, but they may vote Reform" - Sunderland will be voting reform next Thursday. Labour hate us and we want them out.
If it happens, it will be an earthquake. Philipson won't be able to deny the anger. Rod Liddle was saying that he thought most of the North East could go Reform. Northumberland doesn't have local elections but Gateshead and Newcastle do and could go Reform...
Labour has moved far its heartlands. I have enjoyed listening to the Rest is History on the mid 1970s, the rise of Thatcher which is mainly about the Labour government. The North East has normally been on the right wing of the Labour party. They were not happy about the first referendum...
The working class have been ignored or sneered at by the labour elite for decades but the big change came in the 2016 Brexit vote when lifetime labour voters voted against labour instructions (if not quite against labour). After that the spell was broken and it became easy to not vote labour.
After that they had an alternative which wasn't Conservative. In the mid 1970s they voted against joining Europe. It was a strange coalition. Listen to the Rest is History Rise of Thatcher or read Sandbrook's book. The No vote in the 1970s was an interesting mix.
But yes the working class of the North East have been taken for granted for a very long time by the Labour elite. They are going to struggle to get them back.
I don’t think the result is nailed on. Turn-out is key, and a lot of people might be so pissed off they just don’t bother. In Phillistine’s parliamentary ward, she has a block vote to rely on, so might just get over the line in 2029. In the council elections that same block vote might vote “green”.
It’d be fun to be able to see the feedback from the canvassers who are going round the doors.
I hope the Green Party do terribly at the local elections. They deserve to. The Green candidate in Newcastle who ran a fake Anne Frank account to smear Jewish people is horrific. We will know more next Friday.
I skimmed the article on irans prisons. The Times couldn’t help themselves could they by their sneeringly including Trump and the 8 women. No evidence harrumph.
Oh you have to roll your eyes sometimes. My fingers remain firmly crossed that they are going to have to apologise for calling this so entirely wrong.
I fervently pray that Trump stays the course. I think he understands why no nukes for the IR is the right and only policy for the future safety of the world.
I’ve wondered for several weeks now why our neighbours in England haven’t thought to check out the record of the Greens when they were in coalition in the Scottish Parliament. I used to give some thought to voting Green. I would never countenance it now.
Once upon a time, I thought about the Greens as I do understand about the environmental concerns, but there is no way now. They are toxic.
Some of this I suspect is that Polanski has used various hypnotist techniques to deflect. I also think that the Labour party was not ready for what happened at Denton and were not thinking George Galloway type campaigining.

I have been appalled by the Greens. Even more candidates have bene reported for their Jew-hate behaviour.
A lot has come from the silent toleration of hatred within the Muslim community as Baroness Falkner points out today in the Times.

Thursday is going to be enlightening.
Friday is when we will get the results but it should be interesting to see how many people turn out to vote.

From a soft southern B’stard, who appreciates the hard , hard working folk oop Norf!
Get your Brexity Reform vote out big-time!
And thanks!
haha - you’re welcome!
"Caedmon's Hymn" was the first work I ever read in Old English.
Hello Northumberland! Good to see You again. Another fine roundup of articles.
Polanski is a tool. So are the two Green party candidates. Something very rotten indeed. Starmer is his usual.
The Iran prison is shocking.
I hope Labour gets what they have coming to them. I'm sorry to see about Dugdale's apology.
That's interesting about the King and whiskey. I'm glad to see the visit went so well.
That's also interesting about Caedmon's Hymn.
I hope the bees do well. And Paddy is looking extremely well. Well-wishing on Your writing. And, as always, TY Michelle. Much appreciated.
So brilliant to see you!

Why didn't they just shoot the knife wielding Islamist idiot? They would have been more than justified. Afraid of Sadiq the Freak?
British police are not routinely armed. They had the tasers and that was it. The suspect kept trying to stab them despite being tasered.
That might have worked - before the elites decided to change Britain fundamentally by importing hordes of fanatic savages to your shores.
They don't want to alter the culture. More are armed these days, but gun control is v strict in the UK.
I worry that the unrest in Mali is going to result in more migration as Spain and France try to move people along.
That should not be axiomatic. It is simply a failure of will. Or abject cowardice or something even darker....

I have wondered this as well.
