And because this is just in. UCI the governing body for cycling have had to update their policies -- they are creating a female and a male/open grouping due to... science. But it is good news for female cyclists. https://twitter.com/seaningle/status/1679825920884891649

Yet another great catch, Michelle. And I'm glad to hear that woman wanting to punch "TERFs" in the face was arrested.

We have the a lotta the same stuff going on over here with China as You do. But that second article was pretty scary. And it said:

"The report outlined in devastating detail how successive governments, industry and academics have dropped the ball for years, as the push for lucrative Chinese investment was allowed to trump security matters."

If I was a crier, I'd cry my eyes out. Man!

Thanks, as always.

I know it is pretty scary stuff about what was ignored/allowed to slide through.

The US were better than the UK and did make noises about things.

No I haven't done. I was wondering about that. I had gone into Hexham where there were car accidents and road closures and I had expected it to be up, but nada...

Thank you for the WSJ link. They do seem to be coming down on the GC side of things.

I assume you saw about Australia's medical insurer saying -- they won't fund the medical malpractice. It came out in May and they have gone ahead with the scheme. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-07-13/qld-medical-insurer-drops-cover-private-doctors-gender-dysphoria/102592298

I did see that about Australia. And you know that the insurers must have enough data to know that in a few years it’s going to blow up. Already the lawsuits are being to pile in the USA.

Love the story of the Aston Martin. I have a fascination with old cars and wish I could have one. My neighbor have a baby blue 1960 Cadillac and the chrome is stunning.

The WSJ published a story about the US Endocrine Society’s staunch defense of gender affirming care, despite members having serious concerns. That article was answered by European, South African and even signed by some American doctors saying it’s rubbish:

Great round up! Have a wonderful weekend.

Yes it is fabulous about the WSJ. One of the signatories is Dr Levine who is Miriam Grossman's mentor. Apparently the lead Finnish signatory is also brilliant.

I thought someone would love the Aston Martin story. A good friend restores Jaguars and has won awards for the latest one. It is always this huge labour of love. The people who do it work so hard to source the materials.

My *goodness* Ma'am! My cup overfloweth. I won't comment any more until I read all the great articles You linked to. (Or most-a them.) And may not comment a lot after that. Just wanted to appreciate You and Your efforts, Michelle. :-)

Thank you.

In writing news I put my 1st 100 pages of the Murrow book into my agent and now I have to finish the next Viking as Harlequin bought it a few weeks ago and will actually expect to see a full manuscript in due course.

TY. That's GREAT news on the Murrow book. I can't wait to "hear" more about it. Wishing You best o' luck.

And CONGRATULATIONS on the Viking book! (Haha!) Pardon me. Is this the same one as You just submitted a partial on not too long ago, or a new one?
