SO glad to "see" You again, Ma'am! I was wondering about last week. And this week I got off the computer too early yesterday, so was *really* wondering today. And here You *are!*
As Alison "said." Thank You. *Great,* per usual. Haven't looked over any links, but will tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about Australians. Or students. Or a sad combination in Your case. Me? Read a little Lionel Shriver lately and enjoyed it. I think it was You who pointed her out to me, maybe? Hope the edits for Your book went well, and You have a good weekend.
Australian gap year student types are a known factor -- they tend to be a specific type. I was slightly annoyed when one of them asked if he could move my bag as he wanted to put his bag in its place. I simply said -- no, my bag stays above my head. I doubt anyone had told him no before.
Lionel Shriver is v good. So pleased you are enjoying her.
Haha. Here, right on top-a Youse. And, haha! Yeah, hearing the word "no" outta someone else's mouth can be a shocking experience for some. I fear many, these days. I skimmed the links.
I'm afraid I'm going off the deep end looking into ChatGPT AI (REALLY ARTIFICIAL "Intelligence"). Yesterday I got it to write a program that displayed a Pomodoro timer on a screen. Took me hours. Completely ridiculous. But, then, took less time than learning the techniques involved in the how-to of displaying screens. I had between 10 and 15 versions of the program, and none were perfect. Had to settle, because I didn't know how to do better. But learned a tiny bit about the code to display screens, so there is that.
Wanted to "say" TYTY, Michelle! Always a pleasure "hearing" from You.
Great round up, Michelle. Thank you!
You are v welcome
