Thank you for update Michelle. I am quite sure this shit is happening in the US also. Might be a slightly different flavor here in the US but just one problem which needs to be fully investigated is what happened to all the hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied minor immigrant children handed over to the bad guys of whatever breed and creed,
Yes it is a different flavour but it does need to be investigated in the US. It is about the failures of the system which was supposed to keep vulnerable children safe and instead protected adults.
A major problem, outside of the police not only turning a blind eye but taking after the parents who complained, is the fact non citizen malefactors aren’t even deported. Simply idiotic.
Of course this whole repugnant issue has been known for a very long time and it’s still happening? Shame shame shame.
What words do I use to do justice? Sick, depraved, evil, vile. Rainbow is correct, this is likely happening here in the US, especially since we had four years of wide open borders. I don’t agree with Trump all the time but he is spot on when it comes to deportation. And again the religion of peace shows its cards. Understand it wasn’t all Muslims but there were people who knew what was happening and said nothing.
There are still people who are trying to cover it up. I have been hoping since the early 2010s that they had managed to solve the problem, but apparently not.
Just as the Catholic and Anglican churches are having deal with their problems with child abuse, the Muslim, particularly the Pakistani community, will have to deal with it. Some of the dealing with it must come from within the community. For example, the reporting of abuse, the not allowing of 'sharia second marriages' with under aged girls etc
I am not able to understand how anyone can read or listen to these girls' stories and then just bury their heads in the sand! The abuse and sometimes outright murder that happened / is happening is so outrageous. I really hope Britian can get a handle on this and end it. It is just so horrible.
What I have noticed in my own liberal area is that the good folks who would normally speak out about this kind of shit have been thoroughly co-opted and manipulated through their need to be seen as 'good' people. In otherwords the puppet masters have been successful in making the 'racism' issue bigger than any other much more important ones. Thereby using the racism label to suppress any real discussion about anything really. The way this has been so effectively accomplished is very reminiscent to me of what Edwatd Bernays so cleverly did to get American women to smoke. First he made it totally cool by paying the leaders of women's fashion to publicly smoke, then he conflated women smoking with the Women's Liberation movement by calling cigarettes 'Torches of Freedom'. This tactic was so incredibly effective that women would publicy shun and attack any woman who refused to smoke, calling them traitors to the cause of women's freedom. All these years later the powers that be have refined these techniques even further and they work even better to shut people down and drastically alter their behavior.
No, he was part of the problem -- because he blamed ALL Muslims. It is a small minority who have behaved in this fashion. Just as not all Italians are in the mob. In many ways, he made it easier for the cover up to happen because of his previous vile behaviour and his seeking to use the actions of a few to justify the exclusion of many law abiding citizens.
That's where you err, Michelle. They all follow the Satanic Verses. And if Islam really were a religion of peace, they'd all be out demonstrating against the "small minority" who worship Hamas and suicide bombers. Have you seen those mass demonstrations? Neither have I.
There are a few fundamentalist sects which I have heard of over the years. Davidian cult is but one.
There were the huge child sexual abuse scandals in the Catholic church which involved many priests, and of course the Archbishop of Canterbury had to resign over his part in the cover up of one in the Anglican church.
The Jay inquiry which reported in 2021 heard tales of shocking abuse across all major religious groups. The sort of offending might alter but the incidents are there. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58420270
Outliers in clear violation of the applicable Word vs a body of followers of a different Word. Sorry, no cigar on this one. All are sinners. Are there no Followers other than Christians who were perhaps more deserving of the They All Do Itist slap? If I'm missing something, Please help me.
I am well aware about paedophile school teachers -- my 5th grade teacher did serious time back in the 1970s for his abuse of little boys. Two of my former classmates bravely testified. He was allowed to operate with impunity for years. He was under deep cover and only abused the vulnerable troubled boys as they wouldn't be believed. Even today, it turns my stomach.
As the former safeguarding lead for my Catholic parish back in the early 2000s, I am also well aware of what was going on in the Catholic church in the UK at the time. It was deeply shocking to many good people. The abuse of trust was horrible.

TY Michelle.
A very appropriate mid-week Northumberland Calling. But very unsettling. But these things must be said.
I hope those involved in the cover-up get prosecuted as well as the perpetrators.
TY again.
From your lips to God's ears.

Thank you Michelle for sharing this with us.

In other words, Tommy was right all along.
Thought so.

"Much as there can be problems with child abuse etc within fundamentalist Christian groups"
EXACTLY which "Christian" groups, Ms Styles? (With source, of course.)
I'll wait.

You do know that school teachers have more pedophiles than the Catholic Church right? But that doesn’t suit the narrative so….

But you didn't see fit to take a swing at them, did you?
Perhaps the polygamous Mormons. But that’s tiny and criminal and gets dealt with.
Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer is an interesting read.
