Hello Northumberland! Good to "see" Ya this morning.

And another great roundup of articles today. I finished reading the Cass Review and found it very interesting. I'm glad to see the coverage it's getting, at least on Your side-a the pond. I don't follow the news much, so donno how it's being received over here. I doubt many have heard of it. I especially enjoyed the article by Victoria Smith and the speech by Victoria Atkins. Thank You, as always.

The term "Islamo-Gaucherie" is a new one on me. But doesn't surprise me, in the least.

And, as always, good to hear what Kemi has to say.

I'm glad Paddy is looking up. Hope the writing is going well. TY again.

I forgot to say there is a David Brooks op ed (v good) in the NYT today on the Cass Report. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/18/opinion/transgender-care-cass-report.html?unlocked_article_code=1.lk0.5Mgk.MAmhlMqoNv_g&smid=url-share

I am glad to have a term describe what is happening with new combo.

If you have a chance, read the Hansard of the Cass debate. Victoria Atkins is brilliant. YOu should really enjoy it.

And this is another op ed on the same subject -- this time from the Washington Post. Is it too much to hope for that the tide might be turning and people might actually notice the huge medical scandal which has developed? https://archive.is/ZROMb

Islamo-Gaucherie isn't new. It is what brought down the Shah and is why the Islamic Republic of Iran exists in the first place.

The term was new to me and it is apt I believe for some of the nonsense which is happening now. The tie up is bizarre when you consider what did happen in Iran. I do believe that many on the left in Iran lived to regret the tie up. Certainly a friend's father did time in an Iranian jail for his commitment to free speech.

I see from the Institute for the Study of War's briefing today that the Iranian morality police are back in force -- ensuring that women are covered up (of course the Quran does not specify women should wear a burka and it is merely a cultural thing) https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/iran-update-april-24-2024
