Haha. Hello Northumberland! This is Central Ohio calling.

TY, Ma'am, for the wonderful article of articles. Sounds like You had a good time yesterday. And I sort-a figured that would be Your sentiment.

I'm glad to see the guidance from Your EHRC. Wish we had same over here. And Your NHS has also stepped up. But I couldn't finish up the article about the Woke takeover in Your civil service. Because it's too similar to what's been going on over here. I hope this isn't another export from our country, but I'm not sanguine about it.

But I was glad to see Paddy's continued progress, so there is that. TY, as always, Michelle. Good to "see" You.

Is it another export or is it people seeing a way to gain power and influence people? The US doesn't have a monopoly on that sort of ambition.

One of the nice things I did when in London was to go to the National Portrait Gallery. They have just rehung many of the paintings. It is interesting to see the regroupings and things which are important to today v what used to be. The Reynolds portrait of Mai which is now shared with the Getty museum is simply stunning, for example. And I was pleased they had a few more portraits of women, showing that women were always writers, thinkers, actors etc but sometimes they have been in the shadows.

Paddy did so well today. He is an elegant swimmer and is now exhausted.

TY. You're right, Michelle, of course. That's what disgusts me most about the Wokesters. They present themselves as being concerned for others. When what it's really all about is the need for power over others. They accomplish the power, to the disadvantage of the people they claim they're trying to help.

I'm glad You had fun at the portrait gallery, and the pleasure You got from seeing more women.

And glad for Paddy, too, of course.

Interesting that you should make that observation about women. I just finished a Hedy Lamar semi-biography and she fought most of her life against being thought of as only a pretty face. She was also an incredible inventor. It seems that women have often stood in the shadows. (Maybe forced into) Perhaps that is why many women seem so angry today.

The pic of Paddy at the pool is priceless with the rubber ducky luring him.

Your London trip sounds quite thrilling.

Heddy Lamar is amazing. There is this perception that women's achievements get rapidly memory-holed and therefore women are forced to reinvent the wheel or to feel like women have not really accomplished anything and therefore why should they try...When in fact women have been doing amazing things since the year dot.

One of the more interesting things was when researchers started looking they found that women who married in the 17th & 18th century re-registered their businesses under their husband's guilds rather than the one they had originally belonged and continued on with the business. There was a fascinating exhibition back in 2017/18 about this and women's business cards from the era. Women have often worked, but generally not outside the family business...

Paddy did well at his swimming lesson.
