Ah! You're early today, Ma'am. And, lol... So the Scots need TWO days to recover. Why does that not surprise me?
Another all-around great round-up of articles to peruse. That's *great* of Mr. Hillory to give so much money to Your FSU. I'll look into some of the other articles after my short walk. last Friday it was -8. Here today on Dec. 30 at 3:45am it's 57. Go figure.
TY, as always, Michelle. Hope You and Alison have the Happiest New Year. :-)
That museum about the Golden Age of Northumbria looked really neat. I forget what other ones were also interesting. Memory being what it is (and isn't). Ah well...
Oh I thought the museum looked really neat as well. I shall let you know when I visit it as I find the time period really interesting. Wooler is a sleepy backwater of a place and Yeavering has nothing there. Odd to think of it as being so important.
If you can, see if you get Overreach from the library. It is super interesting or maybe it is just me as I didn't understand how it all fit together. Matthews's account is supposed to be one of the better ones according to my husband.
I put Overreach on my list. I hadn't thought to get it from the library, but may. Good idea.
I usually get my non-fiction on a Kindle, because I can highlight the most pertinent parts. (As far as I can see them, anyway, which isn't too far.) This on the theory that I can learn how to write a program to put that junk in a file. Not terribly likely, so there is that.
Happy New Year to you both! I’m grateful to be able to converse with you both! I’m looking forward to this new year and wish you both health, happiness and success in 2023!

The weather is a law unto itself. We have the tailend of your 'bomb' so wet and windy.
Happy New Year to you and Alison as well.

TY for writing, Michelle, and for the "Happy...".

Ah Alison! Wish You both health, wealth, and growth. (Doesn't quite rhyme. Ah well... ;-)
