And this news which suddenly appeared -- trans women (that is males identifying as women) who take hormones are up to 95 percent more likely to suffer from heart disease according to just published research. https://academic.oup.com/ejendo/article-abstract/187/3/463/6972096?login=false is the actual research.

This is the Telegraph take: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/10/06/transwomen-hormones-95-pc-more-likely-suffer-heart-disease/ or https://archive.is/00yU5

This is about the talk at the conference giving these results: https://medicalxpress.com/news/2023-10-evidence-higher-diabetes-unclear-trans.html

TY for this as well. It's about time someone looked into these things, scientifically.

They need to. The body evidence has to be there, instead of people being seduced by theories.

Thank God common sense is coming back to the UK. We’re still working on that across the pond.

Paddy is exhausted! A good pen-chewing incident wears one out.

LOL. I thought you'd find it amusing. He is a sweet dog but my goodness he does get up to mischief.

Common sense has come back in the Conservatives. It will be interesting to see what Labour do. Their conference is next week. The next general election should be in December of next year (I suspect Sunak will hang on to the last second). Labour are starting to lose support as the Conservative abandon some of their less popular ideas like ULEZ and LTN (limiting cars). Net zero will take longer to achieve.

Hello Northumberland! This is Central Ohio calling.

I'm real glad to see SNP take it on the chin. And good for Rishi Sunak and Steve Barclay. Glad to see "wokery" taking it on the chin in the N.H.S. You guys are so lucky over there, to have some common sense rule the day.

And that was great to hear about Kemi. She'd make a great leader of the Tories, so I agree she'd be the obvious choice if they lose the election.

SMH at the Just Stop Oil clowns. They'll never learn, will they?

I read the article on SBF with interest. Too smart for his (and other peoples') own good. Great shyster, is what I gathered from it.

And LOL! Yeah, Paddy *looks* innocent.

TY as always, Michelle. Really appreciate it.

And I always look forward to your comments!

I do not understand why SJO want to alienate people.

What is so interesting about the SBF article is that the experienced journo really seems to have allowed his desires for a solution to many intractable problems to overcome his scepticism. Journos need to be cynical and sceptical because snake oil salesmen are always v plausible. . This one seemed to be seduced by the image of the lonely boy pulling his little book suitcase behind him. Having been at the school, you want a totebag or a backpack as there are a lot of stairs -- the main school is in an old mansion with four floors. The old middle school is a late 1960s/early 1970s construct and is on two floors. There is now a gym and a theatre, I believe. For his senior project SBF did something on cryptocurrency and why it was better than national currency. He was always obsessed with it and his own brilliance, according to my source.
