I was really pleased to see it as well. Hannah Barnes mentioned their dubious practices in Time to Think. It is good that they are finally being properly investigated.
Very interesting burka info. While I theoretically agree that governments should not mandate clothing choices, they actually always have. Ie no one can run around nude without consequences and Covid mask mandates were endemic, etc. It's difficult tho to truly free someone from oppression no matter how many regulations are enforced or not. However regulations can help set freedom in motion if done correctly imo.
Yes you are right. Governments do mandate. The COVID mask thing being but one example. In the UK, hardly anyone wears a mask anymore. Occasionally you see them -- and there will often be reasons. The man who does picture frames in Hexham has a v poorly child and wears one and respectfully asks his customers to do so.
To my mind, rightly or wrongly the burka is very much a symbol of female oppression. It isn't required by the Koran (even if some sects proclaim that it is the ultimate form of modesty). It simply erases women. I realise some may disagree.
The Muslims want to erase women and make them ghosts wearing black bags, the NHS is sad they can’t erase women as they reluctantly change their rules which erased women and the National Trust is upset when a woman objects to a woman being erased.
As men make the best women, I don't know why we even have women.
I did avoid the whole Khelif thing as I suspect everyone is tired of hearing it. Oliver Brown of the Telegraph was the notable exception amongst male journos in highlighting the problem from the beginning.
Confused re: JK Rowling name defacing. If an objet d'arte is known to be subject to defacing, there are preventives, no? IE, the Mona Lisa? And who is doing the defacing? Have the police no interest in an actual crime? I'm guessing that it's what Mr Vance called cat ladies; if so, is it not the women's assistance in their own erasure? (Like sharing a pool or (especially) a locker room with a man? The amount of aiding and abetting the trans scam gets and from whom it comes is baffling.
Yes the amount of aiding and abetting is astonishing.
There should have been preventives re JKR's name being defaced. The artist should have unpicked the pink and blue stitching to begin with (they had from Nov 24 to do so) but declined. The NT should have guessed people would be upset but they probably did not care. They are starting to care now.
The big question is who did the defacing? Jean Hatchet swears she was putting right what should have done in the first place. The NT at first it was nothing to do with them and women were going to have to take the insult basically.
I read it as the Trust allowed the erasure of Rowling’s name and were upset when someone picked out the erasure. People were allowed to suggest names right? So I surmised someone, a transidiot, requested the erasure, twice.
I think it was at that track meet, there was a photo of the “winners” and the boy was vamping while the girls were appropriately standing there. You cannot make this stuff up.
Yes the amount of make up the male athlete was wearing was astonishing. Even Flo-Jo didn't wear that much when she raced back in the early 1980s (there was always a suspicion of doping)
The work round was idiotic as well. The next place female was given the same medal as the male.
I have learned that the feminist who unstitched the defacing stitches is arranging for her own stitch names on a dress to go around the UK. I suspect JKR's name will be stitched a number of times.
Russia does interfere. I suspect those lads are v guilty.
Because this is interesting about Russian hackers and their ways. They re calling these one ‘Hidden Bear’ Christo Grozev had a hand in compiling the piece. SOme of it is wild. : https://theins.press/en/inv/281731
The NYT have done a piece on Christo Grozev btw – the man who thus far has survived Putin. He is basically the godfather of open source intel. https://archive.ph/IfmlM
Wow! I wonder what investment in trans Mr. Walker has. He isn't one I've heard of before. SEEN is doing good work! You have great organization in the UK.
Is there a threshold where the Guardian or reports would be fined or somehow face punishment for lying about the law?
Short answer -- yes. There are standards boards Defamation as a legal concept exists. Obviously with the changes to that particular headline, the Guardian's legal team became involved. Reindorf is a KC and would not have hesitated to sue.
SEEN in Journalism has enough senior journos that they are aware of who is who and who has been pulling strings. They are worth following in TwiX
And males make much better female runway models than women.
Actors Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts have appeared recently in articles lionizing their child, a male named Sam Kai at birth. At Kai’s 14th birthday, Watts gushed that she was “beyond proud” of her neo-daughter. At 14, what had this kid accomplished to warrant such an abundance of parental pride? Identity always supersedes actual achievement for leftists. At 15, Kai dabbled in acting and now at 16 has ascended to Paris runway model. The normalization of males replacing female models parallels males in women’s athletics.
Well they are much easier to be clothes hangers as their shapes are different to most women
As someone recently said to me -- what do children of celebrities do, particularly when the parents are narcissistic or have multiple families from multiple partners? There has to be a way to stand out. Trans has been one way.
What a great sentence! "The feminist is unrepentant." As she should be! I've seen the images Jean Hatchet posted to her twitter/x, and she did a fine job removing the tread. All she did was correct the original defacement.
Good luck with your swarm, whenever it may come. I'm with Paddy, I don't trust any buzzing sounds.
So glad you've gotten some rain! I hope that is true for the north as well.
I believe the situation is better around Manchester re the rain, but it is still v dry.
I think Jean and her accomplice did a great job. The artist and the NT would not have accepted it with anyone else.
Have you seen the latest on the Guardian trying to tangle with Akua Reindorf. They tried to claim that she was saying that trans would have to be fine with reduced rights. When in fact she pointed out that trans people were lied to, self id have never been UK law and they had no right (and never had the right) to enter the single sex space of the opposite sex. The Guardian has had several goes. 'perceived reduced rights' and it has now been changed yet again. https://x.com/JournalismSEEN/status/1930910734948462604
Incredible. Nice insult by SEEN there, a principled new outlet the Guardian has not been on a number of issues. This is one of those "you don't hate the media enough" times.
I am not surprised by the spoiled child reaction in some quarters. The entire time I have been aware of the struggle of women vs trans in the UK, the messaging has always been about the incorrect application of the Equality Act and it's protections for women vs. trans iding men. That same sex spaces were still allowed. It is totally crazy that most/ many lawyers in the UK were happily advising their clients to break the law. A law that really does not seem totally incomprehensible when lay women were able to interpret it correctly and now THANKFULLY backed up by your Supreme Court. Ridiculous.
The situation does somewhat beggar belief, but this is what you get when previous very respected organizations like Stonewall start to lie about the law. People are willing to give them a lot of credence. Of course they have lost their reputation in the process (and I suspect will lose it still before this is done)
The law was always very simple. It does not make sense if it is certificated sex (birth or GRC). It only works if it is biological sex, something which has been defined in UK law since Corbett v Corbett in 1970.
From what I understand some of the TRA strategy was to make it seem as if rights were being taken away when in fact rights had been usurped.
What I thought was interesting but not entirely surprising, that certain members had already had the lawyers in to the Guardian to explain the law and Peter Walker who is a TRA (and wrote the piece) simply refuses to understand. SEEN in Journalism does have people who really understand the inner workings of the media and they are trying to alter things. It is all about counter weights as one group of activists has become too powerful.
Further to my story last week about the clinic in Sussex which had been forced to pause giving prescriptions of cross sex hormones and PB, the NHS has launched a rapid review into their practice and the supply of drugs for gender dysphoric conditions. https://www.brightonandhovenews.org/2025/06/06/nhs-bosses-start-inquiry-into-how-children-were-given-gender-drugs/
Glad to hear they're finally looking into this. TY, Michelle.

That was awesomely stated!

Yes I believe that is correct. The public were allowed to stitch names but weren't supposed to stitch over names.
A TRA then thought they'd be cute and do this. The NT and the artist were too frightened to object.
The NT are upset at the unpicking. Jean Hatchet is unrepentant.
And boys make the best pitchers on a GIRL’s fast pitch high school softball team.

Boys are just better at GIRLS sports, don't you know? Boys must always get the prizes. Girls should learn to lose gracefully...
The thing with the California Track and Field event last week was astonishing.
I think it was at that track meet, there was a photo of the “winners” and the boy was vamping while the girls were appropriately standing there. You cannot make this stuff up.

Hello Northumberland! Good to see You again.
The article by Ben Wallace was very interesting. TY. The UK SDR sounds good. Brings hope. The interview with Fiona Hill was interesting as well.
The Olson-Kennedy report was not a surprise. Glad to hear about the NHS guidance. But it's a shame about JK Rowling.
It's just like Russia to interfere. I hope the perpetrators get what they have coming to them.
I'm glad You and Paddy are enjoying Yourselves.
And, as always, TY Michelle. Appreciate it.
So pleased to see you JT

That first article was fascinating, and it was shocking how much evidence they presented.
I'm glad You Brits caught the Russian Agents. Grosev is amazing, but what a price he's paid.
TY for both, Michelle.

There is Sascha Bailey who is the son of David Bailey and a fashion model and who 'detransitioned'. He speaks a lot of sense on the subject. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14563825/David-Baileys-son-Sascha-seven-words-girlfriend-said-understand-plan-transition-madness.html
